Homely Metalworld is a terrible company with an incompetent manager and assistant. We asked them to fix a new gate for us. First they kept changing the dates to do measurements and to fix the gate. Then they came on Saturday and removed our gate, then realised that the new gate which they had brought along didn't have an aligned lock. They proposed that we live without a gate until Tuesday when they can deliver a new gate for us. We insisted that since our old gate couldn't be fixed back as it was aluminium, they should fix it up and complete it by today, if not today. Anqi, the staff who obviously wasn't in the position to make decisions, refused to let us speak to her manager, Sharon. We agreed to let them fix the gate on Tuesday for a discounted rate but Anqi kept going back on her word. Calling the company hotline didn't work because her colleague Annie wouldn't give us her manager's number as well. Her manager kept insisting that we have to pay the full amount because the gate was already offered at a promotional rate. First the manager said we can pay $28 lesser but the gate can only be completed after Chinese New Year. Then the manager said again as long as we can pay the full amount, the gate would be fixed by Monday 21 Jan 12. We didn't have a choice because they were wasting our time as well as the workers, so we gave in and WROTE OUR OWN INVOICE stating that they'll come back with a new gate and we'll pay the full amount by 21 Jan. I think it's outrageous that they're giving us such terrible service and still expect us to write our own invoice. I don't understand how this company can employ such incompetent people like Anqi and Annie, much less have a boss like Sharon. I will never recommend this company to anyone, and would like to spread the word that no one should patronise their service at all.
