Mr. Anil Chawla is Managing Partner, The Alternative Energy Fund Capital Advisors, Singapore. He is also the Managing Director of SI Advisors Pte Ltd, Singapore. A veteran in the private equity and structured lending space, Mr.Anil Chawla was the former CEO of D. E. Shaw & Co.’s Private Equity business in India. During his tenure as CEO of D.E.Shaw India, he was responsible for several successful deals and profitable exits. Among the major highlights are the formation of a joint venture with Reliance Industries that led to the latter’s foray into financial services; deals with renewable energy firm Soham Renewable Energy, animation firm Crest Communications, real estate major DLF Assets and a well-known regional media house.
