Sunshine Express Cargo & Logistics Pte Ltd - Singapore, Singapore

I had the misfortune of using the services of Sunshine Express. List of issues:
1. While calling to book a shipment (via sea) from Singapore to Chennai, they said that it will reach Chennai within a month. It took more than 2 months.
2. I had sent furniture - old & brand new (not even opened from the packing). While collecting they said that they will take it to their facility, pack it properly before sending it. When i received the furniture, the old one was broken at multiple places & had scratches (big & small) on a lot of places. The new one also had scratches, the tools for assembling the furniture was missing. They had written my booking# on the cushions & those are not coming off!
3. There were 3 items where missing - I had to call & follow up multiple times and finally managed to get back 2 of the items. For the 3rd one, they were not able to give it back and the shocker - they were unwilling to take a claim for refund! They said that they dont accept claims for missing items - it seems they take responsibility only for the boxes in which the items are shipped. When I pointed out that their receipt says that they have a liability of up to $100 & so should take up my claim, they flatly refused & asked me to complain to the authorities. If I was in Singapore, I definitely would have done it!
4. The overall customer service after they collected the items was bad - whenever I called regarding the missing items, they would say that they will call back which they never did. If i asked to talk to the manger - the standard answer is that he is not in office or is travelling overseas. While waiting for the shipment to arrive, when I call to get status - they have no clue as to when the ship will reach India & by when I can expect to get the shipment. The "1 month" which they quoted when I called to book becomes "up to 3 months" when I call to enquire about the status.

Overall, my advice is to avoid them.
